Information

  1. Regular passport application can be submitted by Indonesian citizens, Children under 17, Children with Dual Citizenship, Hajj/Umrah, Indonesian Migrant worker Candidates both within and outside Indonesian territory.
  2. Regular passport consists of electronic regular passport (e-passports) and non-electronic regular passport.
  3. Regular passport is issued by using Immigration Management Information System.
  4. Regular passport application can be submitted manually and electronically by attaching the required documents.

Limited dual citizenship status is the status of dual (two) citizenship granted to children until they reach the age of 18 (eighteen) years with the following criteria.

Procedures
Children with limited dual citizenship who were born before August 1st, 2006

  1. Children must get an immigration permit, if they have not applied for permanent registration. It can be processed at local immigration office.
  2. If the permanent registration has been done, the following things must be completed.
    • Parents/guardian make a report to the local immigration office by attaching a passport and Ministerial Decree regarding the acquisition of limited dual citizenship.
    • Parents/guardian return the immigration documents.
    • Children with dual citizenship can be granted an Indonesian passport with a stamp in the passport as children with dual citizenship based on Law Number 12 of 2006 article 4 point c, d, h, and l and article 5.
    • Children with a passport of another citizenship must attach affidavit by paying IDR 400,000.
  1. Children can be granted a Republic of Indonesia Travel Document (Dokumen Perjalanan Republik Indonesia/DPRI) even if they have a foreign passport.
  2. Children can be granted the DPRI with a stamp of limited dual citizenship.
  3. Children with passport of another citizenship must attach affidavit by paying 400,000 IDR.
  1. Children who only have a foreign passport are exempt from visa, Stay Permit and Re-entry Permit (Izin Masuk Kembali/IMK).
  2. Children are granted arrival/departure signs as Indonesian Citizens.
  3. Children with two passports must choose to use one of their passports.
  4. Children are granted a stamp of limited dual citizenship on their Embarkation-Disembarkation Card (ED Card). Embarkation-Disembarkation Card (ED Card).

 

Requirements

  1. A valid Indonesian identity card (KTP) or certificate of moving abroad
  2. A family register (KK)
  3. A birth certificate, marriage certificate/book, diploma, or baptism certificate*
  4. An Indonesian citizenship certificate for Foreign Nationals who acquire Indonesian citizenship or submitting the certificate of citizenship in accordance with the legislation.
  5. A statement letter of name changes (for those who have changed their name) issued by authorized official.

Note:
*Name, place and date of birth, and parents’ name must be listed in the documents. Otherwise, a statement issued by authorized official may be attached.

  1. Regular passport application can be submitted by Indonesian citizens, both within and outside Indonesian territory.
  2. Ordinary passports consisting of electronic ordinary passports (e-passports) and non-electronic ordinary passports.
  3. Regular passport is issued by using Immigration Management Information System
  4. Regular passport application can be submitted manually and electronically by attaching the required documents.
  5. Regular passport application for prospective Indonesian Migrant Workers in Indonesian territory is submitted to the immigration office in the same province as the applicant’s domicile.
  6. Regular passport application can be proceeded individually or collectively through Indonesian migrant worker placement companies.

 

Requirements

  1. A valid Indonesian identity card (KTP) or certificate of moving abroad
  2. A family register (KK)
  3. A birth certificate, marriage certificate/book, diploma, or baptism certificate*
  4. An Indonesian citizenship certificate for Foreign Nationals who acquire Indonesian citizenship or submitting the certificate of citizenship in accordance with the legislation.
  5. A statement letter of name changes (for those who have changed their name) issued by authorized official.
  6. A recommendation letter for Indonesian migrant workers passport application issued by Provincial or District/City Manpower Office.
  7. An old regular passport for those who have one

Note:
*Name, place and date of birth, and parents’ name must be listed in the documents. Otherwise, a statement issued by authorized official may be attached.

For children with Indonesian citizenship who were born outside Indonesian territory, an application for a new passport is submitted to the Minister or Immigration Officer at the Indonesia Missions Abroad.

Requirements

  1. An Indonesian citizen father and/or mother’s passport;
  2. A certificate of birth from the Indonesia Missions Abroad.

Procedures

  1. If the passport application is submitted manually, you can fill in the data in the application provided at the application counter and attach the required documents;
  2. Wait for the officer to check the required documents;
  3. Get a receipt for the application and payment code from the officer right after your required documents are declared complete;
  4. If the required documents are declared incomplete, you will receive the documents returned by the Immigration Officer. The application will be considered withdrawn.

Condition

  1. A valid resident identity card (KTP) or a certificate of moving abroad
  2. Family card (KK)
  3. Documents in the form of birth certificates, marriage certificates, marriage books, diplomas, or baptismal certificates*
  4. Indonesian citizenship certificate for foreigners who obtain Indonesian citizenship or submit a statement to choose citizenship in accordance with the provisions of statutory regulations.
  5. Name change determination letter (for those who have changed their name) from the authorized official

    Note: *Name, place and date of birth, and parents’ names must be listed in the document. If not, you can attach a certificate from the authorized agency.

Procedure

Register through the M-Passport application which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play. You can do a manual application in the following way.

  1. Fill in the data in the application provided at the application counter and attach the complete required documents.
  2. Wait for the Immigration Officer to check the completeness of the required documents.
  3. Get the application receipt and payment code from the Immigration Officer after the required documents are declared complete.
  4. If the required documents are declared incomplete, accept the application documents returned by the Immigration Officer. The application is considered withdrawn.

Fees (PNBP)

  1. Regular non-electronic passport (48 pages) : 350,000 IDR
  2. Regular electronic passport (48 pages) : 650,000 IDR
  3. Same-day expedited passport service fee* : 1,000,000 IDR

Passport replacement due to damaged or lost is charged as follows.

  1. Lost passport fee : IDR 1,000,000,
  2. Damaged passport fee : DIR 500,000,
  3. Lost/damaged passport fee due to force majeure: IDR 0.

    Note:*The expedited passport service fee excludes passport application fee.

Information 

Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is an organization of Asia Pacific countries that aims to build economic cooperation. APEC was founded in Canberra in November 1989.

APEC currently has 21 members, namely Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, China, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United States of America, Vietnam, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea.

The high mobility of businessperson in APEC member countries requires time efficiency. Therefore, they really need ease in the immigration process. Based on the considerations, an agreement and recommendation emerged from the APEC forum to facilitate immigration traffic activities for businessperson of APEC member countries in the APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) scheme.

To accommodate businessperson, Indonesia has signed to participate in the ABTC scheme on August 15, 2002 in Acapulco, Mexico. The implementation of the provision of ABTC has started since May 1, 2004. ABTC is valid in 19 APEC member countries that apply the scheme. The goal is to speed up the entry and exit process to a country for its holders, the business people who are very concerned about time. With ABTC, business people no longer need to apply for a visa every time they travel to APEC member countries. They also get service facilities at the airport with special lanes.

Who can apply for an APEC card?

  1. Bona fide businessmen who are company owners or at least hold the position of director or commissioner of the company, by attaching:

  2. Copy of the most recent company’s deed of establishment and its amendment (if there is any change in the deed);

  3. Letter of Decision of the Minister of Law and Human Rights on the Approval of Limited Liability Company’s Legal Entity establishment (SK Kemenkumham) and its attachments, which include the applicant’s name on it;

  4. Company Profile issued by the Directorate General of Legal Administrative Affairs (Ditjen AHU).Perusahaan harus setara Perseroan Terbatas (PT), bukan CV, UD, Firma dan lain sebagainya. Hal ini dibuktikan Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB).

  5. The company must be equivalent to a Limited Liability Company (PT), not a CV, UD, Firma, etc. This is proven by the Business Identification Number (NIB).

  6. Government officials of the Republic of Indonesia at the level of Minister, Senior High Leader, and Middle High Leader who will carry out official duties to countries implementing the APEC KPP scheme.

New/Replacement ABTC Submission Requirements:

  • Application letter from the company (addressed to the Director of Immigration Traffic, at the direction of the Visa Coordinator)

  • A letter of recommendation from an employer/professional association (in the form of a letter of recommendation to the person concerned, not a card or membership card of a particular association, and not a Certificate (an example of a recommendation letter can be downloaded here)

  • A bank reference letter with a balance statement for the last three months of at least IDR 500,000,000 and a bank statement for the last three months that has been approved by the bank (personal account for individuals, not company accounts, husband/wife accounts, joint accounts, or accounts of parents, children and Deposit, Insurance or Investment Accounts).

  • Copy of passport with a minimum validity period of two years

  • Proof of business travel for the last six months (photocopy of passport for the last six months, proof of business travel at least three times)

  • A valid Certificate of Police Record (SKCK) issued by the regional or provincial police office.

  • Photocopy of Resident Identity Card (Occupation information on the ID card must be representative of the business, such as self-employed or private employee).

  • Two recent 3 cm x 4 cm passport photos (using a red background, formal attire, and studio standard photo quality)

  • Attach a signature using a large whiteboard marker

  • A letter of assignment and identification from the company for those representing the APEC KPP application (using company letterhead and company stamp/Stamped Power of Attorney and ID card).

  • Attach the old APEC KPP (for card replacement applications).

  • Pay immigration fees, as follows:

    – Application for a new APEC KPP and/or Replacement IDR 2,500,000,

    – Replacement of a lost and/or damaged card is still valid IDR 3,500,000,-

Additional requirements for submitting a new APEC KPP and/or replacement for Indonesian citizens domiciled outside of Indonesia, include:

  • Copy of proof of domicile issued by the country where the applicant resides

  • Association recommendation letter, bank reference letter, and police record certificate that must be issued by the country where the applicant resides.

  • Point two requirements are legalized at the Indonesian Embassy in the country where the applicant resides.

 

Additional requirements for submitting APEC KPP due to loss/damage:

  1. For card replacement due to loss, attach a certificate of loss from the local police.

  2. For card replacement due to damage, attach the old APEC KPP Card.
