Indonesia offers various types of visas, from short-term tourist visas to long-term residence permits.

Type A Visa :
This visa is available only for citizens of a limited list of 14 countries. It is issued free of charge.
• Maximum stay of 30 days, No extension possible, Must leave the country after expiration

Type B Visa (EVOA) :
The Electronic Visa on Arrival (EVOA) is one of the most popular visa options for tourists. It is available for citizens of 97 countries.
• Initial validity: 30 days, Can be extended once for another 30 days, After 60 days, departure is required

Type C Visa (Single Entry):
This visa is available for citizens of all countries and has different validity periods depending on the purpose of the visit:
• 30-day visa – non-extendable, 60-day visa – can be extended twice for 60 days each time, 180-day visa – can be extended once for another 180 days
• Once you leave Indonesia, a new visa is required to re-enter the country.

Type D Visa (Multiple Entry):
This visa is designed for frequent travelers and is issued for 1, 2, or 5 years. Available for citizens of all countries. Each visit has a maximum stay of :
• 60 days – extendable twice for 60 days each time
• 180 days – extendable once for 180 days

Type E Visa (KITAS/ITAS) – Temporary Residence Permits :
This visa offers more opportunities, including the ability to work, open a bank account, and obtain health insurance. Validity periods include:
6 months, 1 year, 2 years, or 5 years,  Multiple entries allowed,  No single stay duration limit. Some KITAS types can be extended for the same period as the initial validity. Others must be closed at the end of the period and reapplied for if needed. After several years of extension, KITAS can be converted into KITAP (Permanent Stay Permit) and later to Indonesian citizenship

Bridging Visa for Type C and D Extensions and also for KITAS
If additional time is needed to process a KITAS, a bridging visa may be an option.
• Grants an extra 60-day stay
• After 60 days, you must either leave Indonesia or obtain a KITAS with the same sponsor

Choose the visa that suits you!

For short-term stays, Type A or B visas are sufficient. For long-term visits, Type C, D, or E visas are more suitable.

If you plan to stay in Indonesia for more than 6 months, a KITAS is a more cost-effective option. It is suitable for employees, remote workers, and families.

  2. Electronic Visa On Arrival (EVOA) from 30 to 60 days of stay – 97 countries – must leave the country before the expiration date; e-Visa on Arrival: obtain online and present at the airport in Bali or Jakarta. Type Of Visa F2, F3, F1, F4, B3, B4, B1, B2
  3. Visit Visa C2 (ex B211A) – from 60 to 180 days of stay – most countries – it is easier to come to the country if you travel frequently; a visa allows you to obtain a residence permit.

When to Use Type C Visas:
• Temporary Activities: C7 Artistic/Creative Visa, or
• C8 Sports Visa,
• C10 Visa (Event Participant): For activities related to speakers, lecturers, presenters, or public figures participating in invited events without an employment relationship in Indonesia.
• C10A Visa (Religious Preacher): For religious preachers who are visiting Indonesia for temporary preaching or spiritual guidance sessions.
• C11 Visa (Exhibition): Suitable for individuals participating in exhibitions or fairs related to the sale of goods and services.
• C12 Visa (Preliminary Investment): Ideal for starting a business, conducting field research, or feasibility studies before full business setup.
• C13 Visa (Sea Visa): For joining a ship or vessel docked in Indonesia, commonly used by maritime professionals.
• C14 Visa (Filming): For those involved in the production of foreign films in Indonesia, such as filmmakers or production crews.
• C15 Visa (Emergency Services): Applicable for urgent and emergency activities such as natural disaster relief or major machine repairs.
• C16 Visa (Industrial Technology Consulting and Training): For consulting or training in industrial technology innovations, improving product quality, or establishing foreign marketing cooperation.
• C17 Visa (Quality Control and Auditing): For individuals involved in auditing, quality control, or inspections at company branches.
• C18 Visa (Candidate for Foreign Workers): Used during the probationary period for employment candidates considering a full-time role in Indonesia.
• C19 Visa (After-Sales Service): For individuals involved in after-sales customer service in Indonesia, typically for products manufactured abroad.
• C20 Visa (Installation and Repair): For the installation and repair of machinery in Indonesia as part of foreign product purchases.


Visa Type C
• Standard Processing: IDR. 3,500,000 – USD 215 (5-10 working days)
• Expedited Visa Processing: Additional IDR. 2,000,000 – USD 122 (3 working days)

There are 5 variants to visit Indonesia with business purpose for a period from 30 days up to 1 year :
1. Visa B2 EVOA – Business eVisa which your need to show on arrival to Indonesia: allows to stay 30 days and allowed 1 extension for 30 days;
2. Visa C2 – Single Entry Business Visa for 60 days: allows to stay in Indonesia with 2 allowed extensions up to 180 days;
3. Visa C12 – Single Entry Pre-Investment Business Visa for 180 days: allows to stay in Indonesia with 1 allowed extension up to 1 year;
4. Visa D2 – Business Multiple Entry Visa for 1, 2 or 5 years: allowed to stay every visit up to 60 days, non-extendable;
5. Visa D12 – Pre-Investment Business Multiple Entry Visa for 1 or 2 years: each visit to Indonesia is allowed for 180 days, extendable for 180 days:

Some visas can now be extended online after arrival in Indonesia.
Stay in Indonesia for 180 days

  1. e-Visa will be issued for a period of 60 days.
  2. Possible to extend visa 2 times, for 60 days each time.
  3. Visa has index C1 (ex 211A/B211A).

The multi-entry D1/D2 visa (formerly D212) allows for stays in Indonesia of 1, 2, or 5 years. Each visit is limited to 60 days, and the visa cannot be extended. However, you can leave and re-enter the country an unlimited number of times, starting a new 60-day period each time. After obtaining the visa, you have 90 days to enter Indonesia for the first time.
Standard Processing – 5-10 working days, Fast Processing – 3 working days.

A New Way to Extend Your Stay in Indonesia
What is a Bridging Visa?
Introduced by Indonesian immigration in April 2024, the Bridging Visa offers a new way to extend your stay in Indonesia, particularly for those on a C1 (ex 211A) (tourism) or C2 (business) visa. Essentially, it provides an additional 2 months of stay. .
it can be converted into a KITAS without leaving the country

Who is it for?

  • Foreigners currently in Indonesia on a C1 (ex 211A) or C2 visa.
  • Individuals whose current visa is about to expire and who intend to apply for a KITAS (Limited Stay Permit).

How to obtain it?

  • Electronic Format: The Bridging Visa is issued electronically.
  • Required Documents: Passport, photo, and your current visa.
  • Cost: IDR 3.000.000.
  • Validity: 60 days.
  • Important Note: Applications must be submitted at least 3 days before your current visa expires.

Advantages:

  • Convenience: No need to leave the country.
  • Cost-effective: Saves time and money.

Limitations:

  • Duration: Fixed at 60 days and cannot be extended.
  • Conversion: Can be converted to a KITAS if there are at least 30 days remaining on the visa.
  • Rules: Conversion to a KITAS is possible through a Bridging Visa.
